The City of Walla Walla invites nearby residents and business owners to review the information below and provide feedback. Community input will help guide project priorities and ensure future improvements reflect the needs of those who live, work, and travel along the corridor.

Overview

The City is evaluating safety, access, and connectivity along The Dalles Military Road between 9th Avenue and Myra Road. This effort is driven by an increase in accidents and ongoing safety concerns along the corridor.

The existing roadway consists of 14.5-foot travel lanes with 8-foot parking lanes on both sides

. The City is considering the addition of a center turn lane to improve traffic operations and reduce turning conflicts, which would require the removal of parking from one side of the roadway.

The City would like to hear from residents and business owners about their preferences and input on potential impacts and solutions.
