Home GO Menu2021 Rose/3rd Bridge Replacement
Updated: December 8, 2021
What is this project going to accomplish?
Project Update
The project is substantially complete and the road is open to traffic, with the exception of North 3rd Avenue, north of Rose Street (one-way street). This is being used as a temporary staging area for the remaining work being done.
The remaining work includes brick paver installation, rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB), street light install, and minor punch list items. Punch list items typically include cleanup and/or minor work to get the final completion of the job. Some of the electrical items have been delayed and are expected to be installed early in the new year.
What is this project going to accomplish?
The project will replace the existing structurally deficient bridge at the intersection of Rose Street and 3rd Avenue. The project also includes stormwater and pedestrian safety enhancements.
During the construction, the payment drop box on 3rd Avenue in front of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers building has been relocated to the alleyway between City Hall and D.A. Davidson. It is accessible by going past the first set of barriers at Rose Street and 4th Avenue, and going through the public parking lot off Rose Street.
Project Schedule
The intersection of Rose Street and 3rd Avenue opened to traffic on December 3.
