Project Update

Work began on March 30, 2020 and was completed on April 29, 2020. Crews worked six-days a week to complete repairs to three sections of mainline damaged during the February flood.
The City had been operating off of wells while the transmission main repairs were completed. The transition back to surface water started this week. 

What is this project going to accomplish?

This project will restore the City’s water transmission main that serves our City water customers. 

How will this project be funded?

This project is funded by water utility rate revenues. However, the City is seeking FederalEmergency Management Act (FEMA) funding reimbursement.
