Project Update

Striping was completed on Saturday, October 31, 2020.  Construction is largely complete with only minor cleanup/touch-up work remaining.

Staging

All five stages of work are complete. This multi-stage, multi-year project began in May 2019 and was completed in October 2020.

What is this project going to accomplish?

The Isaacs Avenue project includes complete reconstruction of utilities, traffic signals, sidewalk, driveway and roadway on Isaacs Avenue from Division Street to Wilbur Avenue, a maintenance seal from Wilbur Avenue to Airport/Tausick Way, and traffic signal improvements at the Airport/Tausick/Isaacs intersection.

How will this project be funded?

The City has been very fortunate in obtaining outside grant support for this estimated $9 million project, which is fully funded as follows:

• $3.8 M – State: Transportation (WSDOT & TIB) and Ecology Grants
• $3.2 M – City: Utilities (IRRP) and Transportation (TBD) Funds
• $2.2 M – Federal: Surface Transportation Block Grant
