What is this project going to accomplish?

The 2020 3rd & Maple IRRP project will replace failing water and sewer utilities on West Maple Street from South 4th Avenue to South 2nd Avenue, South 3rd Avenue from West Maple Street to Stahl Street, West Walnut Street, Whitman Street from South 2nd Avenue to South 1st Avenue, and Thorne Street from South 1st Avenue to Catherine Street. The roadway will be rebuilt, and the stormwater facilities will be upgraded. ADA compliant cement concrete curb ramps will be installed at intersections within the project limits.

How will this project be funded?

The project is funded by local dollars, primarily from the Infrastructure Repair and Replacement Program (IRRP). The IRRP was established in 2010 to replace failing water, sewer, and streets and to date has completed 20 projects totaling over $28 million.
