Project Update

The City of Walla Walla and Walla Walla County will be hosting a Public Open House on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Walla Walla High School Commons Building. 800 Abbott Rd, Walla Walla, WA. Park in the parking lot near the Gym off Reser Road.

The City of Walla Walla is seeking input on potential service locations for each property. County staff will host a Public Open House to connect with area residents, discuss potential impacts of the project, and gather feedback. City of Walla Walla staff will also be present to discuss utility services for future use on the new mains.

What is this project going to accomplish?

Walla Walla County plans to reconstruct Reser Road from Fern to Wilbur Avenue in spring 2027. This project will add curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and bike lanes along Reser Road. Single-lane compact roundabouts will be built at the Fern/Reser and Kendall/Reser intersections. In collaboration with the County, the City of Walla Walla will install water and sewer mains along Reser Road within the project limits, as well as on Wilbur Avenue from Reser Road to Greenbriar Drive.  Water and Sewer will connect to existing City utilities and will be available for service connections as annexation into the City occurs. Once the project is complete, a 5-year moratorium will prohibit non-emergency street cuts.
