Project Overview

The City has chosen David Evans and Associates as the design engineer.  Staff is working with WSDOT and the consultant on contractual details to execute the contract and begin design work in mid-September 2025. 

What is this project going to accomplish?

The project includes pavement preservation on the Alder/Tausick/Airport corridor from Roosevelt to US Highway 12. Includes select ADA curb ramp upgrades, striping, signage, illumination, and pedestrian safety improvements.

Total Project Cost: $3,320,000

How will this project be funded?

  • $3.125 M - National Highway System NHS Asset Management Program grant
  • $195k - Transportation Benefit District (TBD)  

Anticipated Timing 

  • Design: 2025/2026
  • Construction: Spring/Summer 2027
