New sidewalk and planters in front of City Hall with orange barriers and safety fencing in several locations

Project Update

The contractor is working to complete sidewalk flatwork. Remaining elements include irrigation, landscaping, and electrical service for uplighting, followed by concrete sacking and touchup work.

What is this project going to accomplish?

The project will improve the ADA access and functionality of City Hall’s 3rd Avenue frontage while improving the planter beds and replacing the end-of-life trees with varieties suitable for the site and space.

The project will involve complete removal and replacement of everything between City Hall and the 3rd Avenue curb, including planters, sidewalks, trees, sign, flagpole, etc.

Timeline

The work began in November 2024, and is expected to be complete in March 2025.

Access

Customer parking in front of City Hall is available. Portions of the sidewalk may be restricted at times, but pedestrian access from Rose Street to the front steps and elevator will be maintained throughout the project.
